"She sings wonderfully, is a fine performer, has good songs, plays a number of instruments very well, and seems destined for something greater." - Sid Griffin (The Coal Porters, The Long Ryders)

BRIGID KAELIN is a singer, storyteller, author, and multi-instrumentalist who has appeared on BBC, NPR and received many "Best Singer-Songwriter" awards in Louisville. With 7 albums/EPs of original music, she's toured the world with her entertaining, upbeat, and poignant live show. The addition of Steve Cooley lifts her originals, making the show reminiscent of old-time variety hours.
Also a sought-after sidewoman, Brigid has performed with artists ranging from Nick Keir and Adam Holmes to Elvis Costello, usually on musical saw or accordion. She recently turned down a leading role in a National touring Broadway show in order to care for her dying mother and wouldn't change a thing about that.
Brigid has shared the stage with: Jim James, Jack Harlow, Loretta Lynn, Jason Isbell, Elvis Costello, Cowboy Jack Clement, The Proclaimers, and so many more.
STEVE COOLEY has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry and Hee Haw, has performed for five US Presidents and the Prince of Wales and has worked with such notables as Bill Monroe, Jean Ritchie, Mac Wiseman, Rose Maddox and toured extensively with The Dillards and Bluegrass Alliance. In 2018, he taught at Bela Fleck’s inaugural banjo camp, where Bela dubbed him a “banjo master.” Steve’s work has earned 5 Grammy nominations and plenty of other accolades, but he lives a quiet Kentucky life and would be annoyed to know Brigid is bragging about him here.
After producing Brigid's latest solo release, Steve got talked into touring with her -- and it turns out they make quite a pair on stage.
Steve's shared the stage with so many of the greats, but to show you range let's just say: from Dolly Parton to Phish.
Please come and join us to see and hear Brigid and Steve perform at the EDDA Library Building in Ainsdale, Merseyside on May 13th at 7.30pm.
Tickets are just £12.00 from gratefulfreddie@gmail.com.
Please email me at that email address and I will forward tickets to you. Or call me, Colin, on 0797 077 4618.
